Delivery

 

It is really important to us that once you have made your purchase the delivery process is reliable and as easy as possible.

 

When placing an order the default at checkout is set to SMS text but there is an option to add your email. To get the benefit of on demand delivery it is really important to add a mobile number when you enter your address details or add it at the checkout page. International orders cannot be shipped without a mobile number.

 

We use two delivery companies to deliver your order. The majority of our orders are sent by DHL Express. This is a fully trackable service. Please note we cannot ship to APO and BPO addresses.

Once your order is packaged, you will receive a text with a link to DHL Express including your tracking number and estimated day for delivery. After 15.00 on that day you can then manage your delivery as your package has to be collected to initiate the live system.

 

Options are:

  • Redirect to a service point or locker
  • Change the delivery date
  • Leave in a safe place
  • Leave with a neighbour concierge or guard
  • Provide an alternate address
  •  

Smaller gifts are sent by Royal Mail 48 hour tracked service. Again to get the benefit of the delivery service please add your mobile number to your order as SMS or email notifications are sent to the recipient. There is also an option to change your delivery options before delivery is attempted.

 

We understand that everyone would like their new purchase as soon as possible and for this reason we aim to dispatch all non personalised items on the day you choose them if ordered before the cut off time displayed against each product. 

 

We dispatch orders on working days, Monday to Friday only. Our office is open Monday to Friday only.

Most items are boxed in a recycled or new carton for protection and then packed into a plain double wall packing box or an outer jiffy bag for further protection during shipping. We also offer a gift wrap service.

 

We dispatch and deliver Monday to Friday only, excluding bank holidays.

 

 

 

UK Standard Delivery - £4.95 or free on orders over £99

 

3 - 5 working days. We require two working days for personalisation. We ship and deliver Monday to Friday only excluding Bank Holidays.

 

Next Day Delivery - £7.95 under £99, £6.95 over £99

 

Orders placed before midday on a working day, that are non personalised, will be dispatched for next day delivery with DHL Express. Exceptions to this include deliveries to non mainland UK, Highlands and personalised orders. Personalised orders will be sent once the embossing is complete. Select Next Day Delivery for quicker delivery once order is personalised. We ship and deliver orders Monday to Friday only excluding Bank Holidays.

Please allow up to 2 working days in addition to the delivery service you require for items that are personalised. If you need an item urgently please contact us as we may be able to prioritise your order.

If you would like to see your item before it is personalised please ask us to send you a photo of the gift we have selected for you.

 

International Delivery - From £20

 

DHL express estimate a three to five working day delivery time. At checkout your order will have a calculated shipping cost depending on the volumetric weight of your items. Personalised orders require an additional two working days to process.

 

*Additional costs for delivery may apply depending on location and parcel size. Payment can be asked for the following for VAT (as this is now charged on all freight), duties if applicable and a disbursement fee (a charge for paying clearing customs)

VAT On International Orders

 

Shipments to global destinations including EU and Channel Islands: VAT is not chargeable, but our system charges the same selling prices. In compensation for not deducting the VAT component, our shipping charges for all destinations are subsidised.  


Life of Riley is not responsible for loss or damage of the product during delivery. We will choose the best service provider to deliver your product. A signature is required when you receive your package. Life of Riley is not responsible for delays caused by force majeure. Life of Riley also reserves the right to perform partial deliveries.

 

Please note that additional import duties, taxes and disbursement may apply on international deliveries depending on the destination and will be collected at the time of delivery. This is part of the customers responsibility.

 

International carriage is non refundable on any returned items.
